We sell primarily using eBay’s powerful global auction platform. Items may also qualify for sale in our point of purchase CurveCollection online store. Your Consignment Coordinator will contact you if an item is right for the CurveCollection to share details.

Do you sell only on eBay or offer other platforms? How do you determine price?

The goal for every consigned item is to maximize its selling price. We use two methods or a combination of them to achieve that end. The first is an auction format using eBay’s powerful global platform. We currently use this platform for the majority of items. Most items are listed at an enticing starting bid of $19.99 to $89.00 in order to attract a large number of watchers and encourage bidding.  The second is online direct fixed price on our website at CurveConsignment.com. Qualifying merchandise are items of a higher sale point and/or items that typically requires a longer sale cycle. The value of items for sale for both methods is determined by demand that we arrive at through review of comparable recent sales in an online resale environment.

How long does it take to get my items listed and how long are they listed?

The process of receiving boxes, creating an inventory of your items, photographing them and research/listing them can take up to 3 weeks.  Each item is listed up to 30 days or 4 weeks total. Curve consign has an extremely high sell rate. This is due to our intake process and thorough understanding of our customers buying behavior. If an item doesn’t sell, it is not a marketable item at this time. On rare occasions an item may require a longer sales cycle do to a higher sale price point, uniqueness of the item or seasonal issues. In this instance, your consignment coordinator will contact you to discuss a longer sales strategy.

We primarily utilize eBay’s powerful auction 7 day platform. If an item does not sell the first week, it is relisted up to 30 days or 4 weeks total. For all items that are not sold during the first 2 weeks at auction, we apply a free shipping promotion.  This promotion helps generate bidding interest. Unlike other consignment stores who pass on to the client (consigner) the entire $10.00 shipping fee, we split the difference and act in partnership with our clients. Our consigner absorbs $5.00 and CurveConsign absorbs $5.00 to in order to engage more buyers and create a successful selling experience.

Items that are not sold after a one month period are either donated or sent back to the consigner at the consigners cost. Your Consignment Coordinator will be happy to work with you if there are particular items you want returned and others you feel good about donating. How do I send my items?

We offer free FedEx pick-up and drop off services all arranged by your personal Consignment Coordinator.

While shipping is complimentary and tracked via FedEx tracking system from the moment they are picked up to the moment they arrive at our facility in Chicago, IL, they are not insured and CurveConsign is not liable for lost or damaged items. It’s important to note that FedEx has a 100% success rate in the safe delivery of boxes delivered for consignment to CurveConsign!

If you choose to send a package via a different carrier, you may do so at your shipping cost. For luxury high value items, simply contact your personal Consignment Coordinator to discuss complementary specialized shipping.

When does CurveConsign contact me?

Within 24 hours of your inquiry to consign.

A dedicated Consignment Coordinator to discuss the consignment process and help you identify items appropriate for consignment. At this time free FedEx shipping arrangements may be made.

Our coordinators have business cell phones and are available at all times during work hours to receive text messages and answer calls. Think of us as your partner and friend. Have a question, just text or call your coordinator directly.

 

When your boxes arrive.

Your Consignment Coordinator will send an inventory list of items accepted for consignment with a tentative auction start date within a week of receiving items in our Chicago facility.

 

If there are items we are unable to sell due to brand name (low resale value), condition or authenticity issues you have the option of having items returned (return shipping is at your cost of $25 per box) or donated.

 

If you have items that qualify for the CurveCollection point of sale collection, your coordinator will discuss this option and suggested outright sale price.

 

When it’s time to arrange payment.

Your Consignment Coordinator will contact you to arrange for a check to be mailed or Paypal payment sent and will also send a comprehensive closeout list to your email.

When do I receive payment?

We provide payment via Paypal or check within 60 days of your complete inventory close out. Completed sales are those that have been paid for and shipped with 2 week allowance for return. Detailed closeout statements are sent via email to consigners. In the event that CurveConsign has already issued payment to a consigner for an item that is later being returned, we will refund the buyer and the item will become the property of CurveConsign.

What is your commission/fee structure?

Our commission structure is 50% of the sale price for clothing, shoes and accessories and consigners gain 60% for luxury brand handbags and jewelry. CurveConsign absorbs all listing fees and administration costs with no hidden fees. Consigners receive their percentage based on the exact auction and/or direct sale price of the item.

What are your Shipping and Return Policies for Buyers?

eBay Auctions

All auction sales are final. Items are consigned and are not owned outright by CurveConsign. We meticulously inspect every item for consignment and provide the most accurate descriptions and photos as possible. If you feel you have received an item that is not as described, you must contact us directly within three days of receipt via ebay message for authorization of return. Buyers are responsible for return shipping.

We use USPS Priority Mail unless otherwise noted for domestic and international shipping. All international purchases are processed through eBay’s global shipping program. We ship all items within one to three business days of receipt of payment.  You will receive a shipment notice with tracking information.

 

CurveCollection

We hope you are thrilled with your purchase. In the event that you are not, we accept returns for store credit as we are a consignment business. Items must be unused with original tags to be eligible for a return.

Please request a return authorization by contacting us directly at info@curveconsign.com or by calling 1-855-208-8511 within three business days of receipt of your purchase to qualify for a return.  Buyers are responsible for paying return shipping.

Returns that are shipped to us, will be processed within three (3) business days of receipt.

All returns will be issued a store credit code for the purchase price via email to redeem for another purchase at any time.

We offer flat rate shipping of $8.00 domestically via priority USPS mail.  We ship all items within one to three business days of receipt of payment.

International shipping is available at a flat rate of $40.00 USD. Import duties and taxes are the buyer’s responsibility.
